Your Mom brought you over to see us today at our house and your Dad met us for dinner tonight. Your Mom got you a brand new friend...your FIRST baby doll. You now have 2 teeth UP and 2 teeth DOWN and you are starting to communicate with us... Your FIRST words were "MOMMA" and you have "DADDA" working pretty good also. We also think you are saying "Baboon" refering to your Uncle Justin???

We all went to dinner tonight at the Cracker Barrel near your house (World Golf Village). Check out the picture below of you in a little GATOR rocking chair at the restaurant.

Too bad there was not a FSU Seminole rocker....Maybe you are going to be a GATOR? We shall see.

Today you, Nanna and your Mom were at Costco to get some supplies in preparation for the Hurricane "Fay".

The reporter for local TV station Channel 12 was interviewing people as they were leaving the store, and a star was born!

Dear Addy,

I just could not resist Blogging this one for you.

Last week, you started on an antibiotic for an ear infection and one of the "Side effects" is called a BLACK HAIRY TONGUE !

Your Mom and Dad FrEaKeD OuT!!!!!

BLACK HAIRY TONGUE - A black, hairy tongue is a temporary, harmless condition. It typically results from an overgrowth of bacteria — and sometimes yeast — in the mouth. These organisms accumulate on the tiny projections of the tongue — called papillae — and cause discoloration. Certain types of bacteria and yeast make red blood cell pigments (porphyrins) that can give the tongue a black appearance. In some cases, the tongue may also appear "hairy" due to more rapid growth of papillae or an interruption of the normal shedding of cells by the tongue.

In some cases, the cause of black, coated tongue can't be determined. However, some potential causes include:

• Changes in the normal bacteria or yeast content of the mouth following antibiotic treatment

Your Nanna got on the computer and fiqured it out pretty quick... The Dr. said not to worry and YOU did not care....It lasted about a week or so and then it went away.

Dear Addy,

Tonight was a very special night. Your dedication to the Lord Jesus.

Your Mom and Dad took you before the church and dedicated you to the Lord. This is done as a promise to teach you to how to love Jesus and to teach you how to accept Him as your Lord & Savior when you are ready to make that decision.

Our pastor Dr. Mac Brunson gave us all the meaning of your name Addison means "Child of Adam".

He also gave us your life verse. It is Psalm 36:7

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

MOTHERS DAY 2008

Today is Sunday, May 11, 2008

Dear Addie,

You are now about 7 months old.

We all went to church today and then to Sunday Brunch downtown on the riverfront at the resturant River City Brewery.

Uncle Chris and Aunt Lauren came to Jacksonville from Dallas last week for Mother's day and to see baby Addison.

You can now sit up by your self, screaming like Howard Dean (Not talking yet) and such a happy fun little girl. We love you and pray for you every day.

Speaking of politics, George W. Bush is winding down his presidency and we are right in the middle of the 2008 Presidential Primary. It looks like it will be Barack Hussan Obama vs. John McCane but, Hillary Clinton is doing her best to get on the ticket some how, she will probably fail.

Let's see... Hum....A 2 term VERY liberal, Senator form Chicago VS. an X-POW war hero Senator from Arizona ?

I fear the what this country may become by the time you are old enough to vote. One of my prayers for you is that God will use you to make a difference for Jesus in this world.

Your new home we are building is almost done. Your Mom, Dad and you should move in around June 1st. It took way too long to build it, but it is goinng to be a Castle fit for a Queen (and a Princes)

Dear Addy,

Today was another BIG day for you!

Your Mom and Dad are going to feed you your first solid food tonight. You have only been nursing and a getting a little formula up to this point. I can't believe how fast you are growing. You are using your hands a lot more and even trying to stand up in my lap (Although a little wiggly!) Hey, So let the FUN begin !

The menu is Rice Cereal, Rice Cereal and MORE Rice Cereal ... YUM ! YUM ?

I think the Texture of it must have felt funny in your mouth. You sure made some funny little faces. You have been such a pleasure for us all to watch you as you grow and we love you so very much.

"PAPPY'S" 53rd BIRTHDAY

Today is January 19, 2008

Dear Addy,

Well today is my 53rd birthday. So, let me tell you a little about myself and a little about our Harris Family history.

I was born January 19th, 1955 at the OLD St. Luke's Hospital on 8th Street and Boulevard Street in Jacksonville, Florida. I was born and adopted by Nanny and Hunny on that very same day. Your Mom or Nanna can tell you more about those details (Of which, I don't know much and never felt the need to know much detail about that) FIRST of all, I was so very fortunate to have Nanny and Hunny as my Mom and Dad... Had GOD given me the opportunity to choose anyone to be my Mom and Dad, I could have NEVER made a better choice! Actually, I feel like GOD made that choice for me way before I was even born and GOD don't make BAD decisions!

I was raised on the North side of Jacksonville very near I-95 and Edgewood Ave. in a community called Lake Forest. I lived at 7850 Marion Street, Jacksonville, FL 32208 from the day I was born, until the day I got married to your Nanna on February 21, 1976. She was born in Coral Gables, FL (Near Miami) but grew upoff of Merrill Road in at 7610 Wycombe Dr. Jacksonville, Florida 32211 in the community called Arlington.

Well, back to the BIG "Five 53 three" Birthday Party.

We invited mostly family over for dinner to celebrate the BIG day. That included: You and your Mom & Dad, My Dad, your Great Grand Pa (Hunny), Great Grand Ma Peterson, Karen, and your Uncle Justin. As usual, YOU were the Featured Guest.

I have a few pictures below for you ... Look at how much you have grown! You are a little over 3 months old, Not crawling or talking yet... You do however make some Funny little Sounds.  :-)
